Les tapis persans de Kashmar ont un passé long et illustre qui remonte au XVIe siècle. Ils ont d’abord été créés pour la cour royale et l’élite riche, mais au XIXe siècle, ils sont devenus plus facilement accessibles. Le tissage de tapis est depuis longtemps une industrie majeure dans la ville iranienne de Kashmar, située dans la province du Khorasan.
